Inspiring a Community into the Garden

The Inspiration Garden in Coquitlam is growing. This year additional raised beds were added where they grow & harvest fresh produce for the Share Food Bank. In addition to the new growing space, the beginning of a Greenhouse has been erected in the adjacent gravel field. I am thrilled to see this neighboring municipality continue to passionately promote healthy living through gardening!

This suburban oasis serves as inspiration to gardeners of all skill levels. An ideal meeting space for the community to come together through continuing education (horticulturaly speaking), community events & yoga in the park. I can only hope that this unabashed enjoyment of the beauty of nature is contagious.

This success story begs to be repeated.

I took a late lunch in the garden a week or two ago and captured the season shifting. It’s quite beautiful at this time of year. The colours and textures of fall were everywhere.
