Happy birthday to me!
This past weekend I celebrated the passing of another year by doing a few of my favorite things. We indulged in afternoon tea at the Little White House in historic Fort Langley. The sweets and savory were divine and the champagne that followed only heightened the visit to this classic heritage home. It was a fantastic afternoon of good company and wonderful food.
When we finished there we took the opportunity to visit near-by Napier’s Country Antiques. There amongst the packed rooms, loaded with old school charm I stumbled upon perfection. A small wicker plant table in of all things, my favorite colour! Turquoise!
After a little tag shock and some fierce negotiation we settled on a fair price. We left happy, and I giggled the whole way home.
It took barley a moment in my door before I began arranging this new addition in my patio garden. Temporarily it was home to a fantastic planting I made for a fundraiser for the Red Cross.
I got the inspiration for this planter at NWFGS this spring. The ceramic ‘Popcorn’ bowl was filled with the buttery yellows of Proven Winners Sundaze® Golden Beauty® Bracteantha & Supertunia® Lemon Plume. This cheery planter was donated to the Moore Love event with proceeds to assist the victim of the devastating tornado’s that over took the region in the last month.
Feeling generous? Well don’t buy me a gift. Instead why not spread the love by following the link to give what you can to the Red Cross as they help the people of Oklahoma rebuild their community.
