The Hazy Romantic Glow of Dicentra Spectabilis ‘Alba’

“Oh, how this spring of love resembleth, The uncertain glory of an April day, Which now shows all beauty of the Sun, And by and by a cloud takes all away”
William Shakespeare The Two Gentlemen of Verona – Act 1, Scene 3

I’m feeling a little romantic today. It could be the sunshine, it could be the hint of Spring in our warming temperatures, but there’s most definitly love in the air. Ten years ago today my husband and I walked down the isle in a little church with our frinds and family at our side. It was a simple ceremony built on love. It is to date, the smartest thing I’ve ever done. I married my best friend, and we’ve built a wonderful life together.

Michael is not only my partner, but he’s also my biggest fan. I’d like to stop and thank him today for everything he’s done to support me over the years. Whether it’s emotional support, or a push in the right direction, he’s been my rock. He’s also been my muscle. Who else is going to dig all those hole (literally and figuratively!)

So thank you Michael. I love you. Onward and upward!

If you want to know what I’m doing with this awesome combination of plants, head on over to the Proven Winners site to check out my latest blog on bringing texture into the shade garden. And you can bet come spring, Michael will be out there helping me dig the holes necessary to make this garden come to life!
