In Bloom

The Alliums have awoken in my garden. I have had them in my backyard for a couple of years now, but this is the first year their artistic flare will strut their stuff in the front garden.
These tall flowers make quite a statement, just as the tulips are fading.
Encircling the center stump, I laid them out in plots of 5, alternating between the classic purple and the beautiful white flowers.
I’m thrilled with the results!
The white ones are a little slower to open,
but their effect is well worth the wait.
Adding to the drama,
the Poppies are punching their way into spring.
Starting with this tasty tangerine.
I have tried to count the pods in this clump,
I have failed numerous times.
I can safely say there are dozens waiting to open.
Soon to follow will be the dark red Poppies.
And my personal favorite,
the white one’s that spot throughout my garden.

The excitement of spring is alive and well!
